The Kristina M. Carey LMFT Scholarship Fund

Marin CAMFT has renamed its Scholarship Program in honor of Kristina Carey, an active Marin CAMFT member who died in February 2017. This scholarship is granted to several pre-licensed clinicians in Marin County each year.

The 2026 cycle is now closed, with winners to be announced in our Spring 2026 newsletter. Please check back in the Fall for details on our 2027 scholarship opportunities.

    Marin CAMFT expresses our heartfelt gratitude to our departing Scholarship Committee Chair Elaine McMahon, who has ended her service as of 2026. Thank you to Elaine and the other members of the committee for so many years of support to our pre-licensed community!

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR THE NEXT CYCLE

    Want to be part of this rewarding experience?  Have limited time but want to give to your chapter?  The Scholarship Committee needs you! 

    Marin CAMFT is looking for new members for the Scholarship Committee, including a new Chair to run the committee.

    You’ll get to meet exceptional candidates and then get the pleasure of awarding three of them a scholarship (to spend as they choose), and that’s a great feeling! The bulk of the Committee's work comes at the early part of the year, January through March, when applications are reviewed and interviews held, and a selection made. The Chair is involved periodically throughout the year and is our main point of contact with the overall Marin CAMFT board, supported directly by our Director of Community Ryan Woodring.

    Please email our Director of Community at community@marincamft.org if you are interested in being part of the Scholarship Committee. Please indicate if you would be interested in the Chair position. Training and support are available!
