Support Group for Newly-Licensed Therapists: Pre-Holiday Edition

As we enter the year-end holidays, we welcome newly licensed therapists to our online support group with a pre-holiday gathering on Sunday December 13th from 5 pm to 6 pm.

This online support group is open to any clinical member of Marin CAMFT who has been licensed two years or less. Meetings are held the second Sunday of each month.

The group, facilitated by Lois Friedlander LMFT, is an opportunity to focus on the unique needs of newly licensed MFT's. We can share thoughts and feelings about starting a clinical practice in the time of COVID, becoming part of an agency, managing the holiday "blues" for clients and ourselves, marketing, and preparing for the New Year (might this be a good or bad time to raise your fees?) Let's check-in with each other, network, share resources, discuss any concerns, explore the direction you might want to take your career, moan about insurance processes, and offer peer support.

Attendance is free, but attendees must email Lois at lois@loismft.com prior to the meeting

to obtain the Zoom link and password.

Lois looks forwards to mingling with our membership and offering guidance and support as we journey together through to the New Year.

Lois Friedlander, MFT, CGP, is an experienced clinician, member of the clinical faculty, UCSF, Dept. of Psychiatry, and Faculty @ The Psychotherapy Institute. In addition to supervision and training she has been a workshop presenter at numerous local, national and international conferences and developed graduate level clinical coursework at the California Institute for Integral Studies. A life-long learner she continues to participate in advanced trainings with a concentration in group psychotherapy. She maintains a practice in Mill Valley and San Francisco.
