Money Matters in Private Practice: Taking the Conversation Deeper, Deb Lyman, LCSW

Our society has a taboo against talking directly and emotionally about money. In this interactive workshop Deb Lyman, LCSW will help you to look at what gets in the way of talking about money (and especially about fees) in your clinical work. Together we will examine how your personal money story impacts the business side of your practice, from how you structure your business to your policies, fees and more. We'll look at how to start thinking more completely about money in the personal, business and clinical realms of your practice. We'll also talk about financial self-care and common areas of conflict for therapists, such as integrating social justice values and the wish to earn a certain amount of money.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO): What is it and How to Do it Well, Cathy Hanville, LCSW

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is one of those topics that often causes therapists to a have a stomach ache. They feel that it is something that is not accessible to them. Cathy Hanville, LCSW, an East Bay therapist and private practice consultant, breaks down some of the basics of SEO in a way that it is understandable to anyone-even those without a tech background. In this workshop, she will provide an overview of SEO and specify some of the easy first steps you can take to improve your website's search performance.
