Saturday Bon Tempe Lake Hike

Marin CAMFT Bon Tempe Lake Hike - Saturday, October 7, 10-1

Marin CAMFT members invite you to join us for an awesome hike around Bon Tempe Lake.

Everyone is welcome!  This walk and talk meet up is a great opportunity to observe the seasonal transitions with views of a variety of landscapes.  Once I know who is coming I will arrange a place for those who want to car pool to meet ahead and follow me to the Lake. 

To get there on your own - Take Highway 101 to the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake exit and go west to the town of Fairfax. Turn left on Pastori, make immediate right onto Broadway and left onto Bolinas.  At 700 Bolinas Road there is a wooden sign on your left saying Lake Lagunitas.  Make that left turn onto Sky Oaks Road.  The road will wind up to the entrance to the watershed where you will pay $8 per vehicle. Once you pay for parking continue up the road to the first Lake Parking Lot up and right at the Dam between Bon Tempe and Alpine. This hike is mostly level but there is some uneven ground, roots and loose dirt.  Please wear appropriate shoes with tread and bring water and a light snack. We’ll wrap around the sunny side of the Lake first and end on the shaded side.  I LOVE THIS HIKE!!
