Description of Practice
I’m Kim Burris, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with deep roots in the worlds of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness.

I am the founder of The Holistic Counseling Center and author of ‘The First 90 Days After Birth: A Self-Care Journal for First-Time Moms.’ I received my clinical education and training from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and have lived and practiced at the intersection of psychology and spirituality for over 20 years.

Integrating the depth of Western psychology with the heart and soul of Eastern mysticism, I provide holistic therapy and counseling to individuals struggling with anxiety, motherhood, relationships, burnout and life transitions.

I offer evidence-based treatment with a heart-centered approach that honors the mind, body, and spirit connection. I help my clients unravel the root cause of their suffering, and to live from the heart of embodied wisdom.

My approach weaves talk therapy with mindfulness, nervous system regulation tools, somatic modalities and psycho-spiritual practices to support clients on their healing journey.

In additional to my private practice in San Anselmo, I also teach at CIIS and I run a group practice called The Holistic Counseling Center where I support both licensed and associate clinicians in doing this sacred work.
