Short Description
I am dedicated to helping couples strengthen their relationships through a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach.
Description of Practice
I specialize in helping couples deepen emotional connections, resolve conflicts, and create lasting intimacy, grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). These evidence-based approaches shape how I help couples address relationship distress and foster meaningful change.

Effective couples therapy requires both an understanding of emotional dynamics and practical tools. The approaches I use complement each other, offering different angles to address relational issues and provide a holistic treatment plan. I tailor this integration to each couple's unique needs, focusing on emotional connection, communication, and creating sustainable change.

EFT helps couples form secure emotional bonds by reshaping negative interaction patterns. The Gottman Method strengthens communication and conflict management skills with structured interventions, while RLT emphasizes emotional honesty, mutual respect, and personal responsibility within relationships. Together, these methods guide couples through healing and reconnection.

Cultural sensitivity is vital in my clinical work, especially with intercultural relationships. As a bilingual, bicultural therapist from a Japanese household, I understand how cultural background, family systems, and societal expectations influence communication and relational dynamics. This perspective allows me to approach therapy with a nuanced understanding, recognizing that relational patterns are shaped not only by individual psychology but also by the cultural narratives couples internalize.
