Description of Practice
The foundation of my work with you rests in the belief that human connection based on insight and empathy is transformational. Often times suffering is a result of habitual patterns and behaviors based on fear, and difficult experiences. This drains our natural ability to enjoy life, and unfortunately cultivates a culture of isolation and aloneness. Our honest and trusting therapeutic relationship will transmute your aloneness so that you once again have access to your innate resiliency and wonder of life. It takes courage and vulnerability to reach out for support. Know I will be your ally. With compassion, insight, and honest communication, we explore the territory of your emotions, behaviors, and limiting patterns and beliefs to help you gain perspective on your life and relationships. This increases your resiliency and capacity to handle life’s stressors and struggles, bringing you more ease, peace, and happiness. Together, we blend compassion and a dash of humor to catalyze the positive changes you want. My work with couples is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a holistic and structured approach to couple counseling. You can transform your relationship, learn to resolve conflict, understand your differences, know how to emerge from negative cycles, emotionally attune and connect with your partner, restore intimacy, and engage in the loving and meaningful relationship you desire.
